About Litwinners

Litwinners is a reader’s guide to the Nobel Prize in Literature: every laureate since 1901, with a short portrait of the writer and a handful of books to begin with.

Biographies are written by the Litwinners editors and draw on the English-language Wikipedia, which we link from every page for further reading. Portraits come from Wikimedia Commons and are credited to their photographers under the licences stated beneath each image. Prize motivations are quoted as published by the Swedish Academy.
